Web Hosting Boo-Boo

I have been singing praises of my webhosting company in a couple of articles here at WAHMaholic. However, lately, some of you may have noticed the downtime of this blog for long periods of time. I believe I have also already mentioned that our server was hacked by a crazy an anti-terrorist guy, and my web hosting went haywire since that episode.

The server is still in the middle of an issue (I don’t want to go into details because I don’t understand half of it. Haha! Bottom line is, we’re still on uncertain waters), but I am not losing hope. I have come to love eWeb over the time that I have hosted by domains with them, and in them will lie my loyalty until they do something drastic to take away that devotion. I feel for eWeb and what they are going through right now, and I practice utmost patience with what we are experiencing. In all fairness to the admin of the company, they explain what is going on and they help us cope with this episode.

I have several friends who signed up with eWeb using my recommendation as a basis, who are now having second thoughts about eWeb’s reliability. I completely understand if you are feeling that way. I would be concerned, too, if not for the fact that I fully trust eWeb’s ability to solve this unfortunate event in time (not too long a time, I pray).

There would be no hard feelings on my part if ever you decide to transfer to another host in the light of recent events. It’s your site/s, after all, and you will decide what’s best for it/them. However, I will make this small plea: give eWeb a chance to redeem themselves. Edward and the rest of the eWeb crew have been excellent as a web host in the past, with an almost perfect uptime record. According to an email by eWeb: “We admit we are not a perfect webhost but we are trying to be honest and mindful all the time“. They deserve a chance, and in my book at least, they are still the best web host there is.
