How To Block Users On Cbox

I just had an annoying person spam my Cbox. I don’t normally take notice of such people, but well, I needed a filler post. Haha! Anyways, so yes, this short tutorial is for you who have had an unwanted visitor in your message box, hurling obscenities at you or foul words that you can’t stomach, or who has spammed your Cbox (treating it like their own personal RSS feed where they put a link on the Cbox to every new article they publish), or people you just don’t want contacting you (creditors, or lovers for instance. 😆 What? I’m just giving you ideas :tongue: ). The feature of blocking users through their IP so they can’t haunt your living days again is available in even the FREE version of Cbox, so :yay: !

Okay, so what do we do?

1. Log-in to the Cbox control panel HERE.
2. Once logged in, navigate to Messages –> Messages.
3. Look for the offending/spam message on the list, tick the checkbox beside it and click the red Ban link on the upper right part of the list.

That’s it! Of course, we gotta delete those messages because they are an eyesore (unless you’re a masochist and want to keep them. Your choice. :tongue: ) You see the red Delete link beside the Ban link? That’s the key to a clean, wholesome Cbox. Search for the message you want to delete, select it, then hit the delete button.
