It’s getting harder and harder to dry our cloths with each passing day. The colder it gets, the longer it takes for our clothes to dry outside. Yes, we dry our clothes outside for two reasons. One, because we only have a spin dryer, not the one with the heated air (although the up side is that I save on electricity), and two, because I love the smell of sun-dried clothes. And anyway, that’s what most people in our country still do (line-drying).
And no, we don’t line the clothes where people pass by as we have this dead-end space in the building where we hang the clothes. However, it takes patience to wait for them to dry out, even with Paulie’s shorts which are supposed to dry fast. I am now thinking of buying a new washing machine that tumbles dry as well, for use during these months. But that’s just idle thought. I still have a lot of stuff on the list to buy before that.
