A WordPress Lover Speaks

I know that it’s no secret to you that I love WordPress. In fact, if one can marry a blogging platform, I would be the first one to marry WP. Blogger was my first love, it is the platform I used when I got into serious blogging. It was very easy for a novice to use, and the familiarity was what hindered my transfer to the greener pasture. When I first came upon WordPress, I thought it was too confusing, although the wealth of WordPress themes that I can choose from back then was enough to make me pursue learning the ropes. Yes, I am really a lover of blog designs, even in the early days.

I made a lot of mistakes (costly ones, for a beginner like I was), and I blame my lack of researching for that. I wasn’t best friends with a nifty search engine called Google back then, and I didn’t know that the information I could get just by a few keystrokes could blow me away. I couldn’t even care less about the top 10 WordPress hosting companies that a lot of sites have. Why would I? I didn’t know paid hosting was essential back then. I thought I could get everything for free. I mean, the best free WordPress themes were more than enough for me. And I certainly wasn’t interested in everything that WP has to offer. I was all for the very basic stuff.

But of course, as with all bloggers, I learned a lot of things along the way (yes, including the fact that a simple Google search can save my very life) and realized that WordPress is the ultimate blogging platform in the universe. It allowed me to fully control every aspect of my blogging career and made me discover and experiment with things that I did not imagine possible with blogging. So please forgive me if you’re a client and I’ve already bugged you about transferring to WordPress. But believe me when I swear, WP will rock your world.
