Typhoon Juan has left the country and just when I thought we could breathe a sigh of relief, here comes Katring. The news says we can expect this new storm to enter the Philippine area of responsibility on Saturday night or Sunday morning, and is shaping to be pretty strong. Not as strong as Juan, but still. Our fellowmen has barely recovered and here comes another one again. I saw in the evening news that some parts of Tarlac and Dagupan are still submerged in flood. The Northern part of our country is taking a really bad blow from recent natural disasters. Which makes me more thankful that even though we live here in the north, we are still safe.
Paulie, though, is showing signs of sickness. He’s been coughing since this morning and I’m worried that he might catch the flu again. Last time he caught it, I was at my wits end, because Svet was sick too and I have to take care of both of them while tending to house chores. On top of that, I have to keep earning too. I’ve been nagging him to go to the doctor for anything that he can find to avoid having flu again, but knowing him, he’s too stubborn to do anything until it hits him. I need him to be up and about now that another typhoon is in the horizon. It will be doubly hard for us three if one of us is down with a sickness and the storm is raging. Oh dear. Not an easy month, October is.
