Re-reading Sheldon

I’ve been a fan of Sidney Sheldon since high school. He was one of the first authors I read when I came out of my Tagalog pocketbook days, together with Agatha Christie and Stephen King. My evolution in reading went like this: Tagalog comics -> Tagalog pocketbooks (love stories) -> English romance novels -> English detective novels -> English suspense thriller novels -> English chick lit. That’s two types in each level of school: elementary, high school then when I was at the university.

Nowadays it’s a mishmash of everything I can get my hands on, expect for Tagalog comics and romance pocketbooks. I think I’ve fully outgrown those. I am reading back on all of my Sheldon novels, to bring back my memories of his writings. The book month at Girls Talk really did me good, as I not only remembered to look back on my old favorites, I also found new ones which might soon be added to my must-read list of authors.
