My life as a WAHM has afforded me the opportunity to be near my kid all the time, do things on my own time, and get some extra projects done around the home. Staying at home and living off of one paycheck has its challenges though such as not being able to spend what I would like on shoes and clothing for Svet. It also limits the amount of family entertainment we engage in. Still I would never give up being home with my kid.
I have constantly looked online to try and find employment opportunities so I could supplement our income. Time after time I have been confronted with scam after scam that have asked payment in order to start working for them or asked money for their services.
One day as I was online I stopped by a WAHM website that gave me helpful information on job leads, ideas of how to shop for bargains, coupon give-a-ways, recipes, and the like. I frequented that site often because I thought it had a lot of good information but didn’t really come away with job information that appealed to me. Several months went by and I thought I would visit the site again.
While there I opened a tab about freelance writing and became interested at the prospect of writing for a living. I liked the fact that even the writers warned against giving anyone money in order to write for them. Long story short, I have been freelance writing for two years now and I absolutely love it. I have been able to afford to get Svet some items that we could not afford previously. I sometimes even spoil myself when I have a little extra money and purchase some cute dresses, which I love.
