The month of June is a popular couple’s choice when it comes to marriage ceremonies. Mom said that a long time ago, taking a bath is not an activity that people do everyday. Not even a weekly or monthly activity, because they use the bathroom only once a year every May. I don’t know if I’ll believe my mom and her funny stories, but she said that since everyone is relatively smelling good during the month of June, they prefer to be married during that month.
I read a bit about how the month of June is named after the Roman Goddess of marriage, Juno. That, I can believe better, but then again, whatever your beliefs are, for me you can still marry the one you love anytime of the year. Having a fruitful marriage, after all, depends on you and your partner, and not some old tradition or practice.
Me and Paulie are not married (yet), but I know well that holding a wedding ceremony is not easy as ABC. It is the most special day in a woman’s life so naturally she’ll be looking for a perfect motif, beautiful reception, elegant invitations and designer bridesmaid dresses and so on and so forth. Just thinking about the preparations overwhelms me. Not that I plan to have a big wedding someday but still. It makes my head hurt just imagining it. LOL. It’s obvious I’m not marriage material, preparations-wise.
