We have PLDT as our buddy in working online, not because of choice, but because it is the very first DSL connection here in our subdivision. No other connections can reach our place at this time since we are a bit far from the main road. That, plus other places here in Baguio get priority because of the number of population. Four of us are sharing the internet but it’s still fast, which is a good thing, since all our works require that.
My sister subscribed to their online billing so we won’t have to wait for their paper bill, which takes too long to arrive. We have a couple of printers here in the house to use in printing the bill so we can pay on time. Last month, we paid the bill a couple of days after the due date because the money arrived a bit late. The teller told us that the disconnection is system generated so if their system saw our unpaid balance then our connection will automatically be cut off without warning.
Which is again why I’m thankful we are able to view our statement online. Continuous internet connection means continuous work, and continuous work means continuous money flow.
