Too Much Sun

This year’s summer we went to the swimming pool a lot. That plus we also bought an inflatable pool for our backyard. Which only means one thing: we are all dark-skinned right now. However the days are getting colder already so we will be able to recover our original skin tone in no time (I hope!). Burnt skin apart, the kids (my daughter and my nephew) had the time of their lives this summer because they love the water so much.

Svet didn’t even want to get out of the pool once she got in, so me and Paulie had to alternately look after her while the other eats or does some errand. One time she ran to the deep part of the pool by herself and I almost slipped and broke my back trying to reach her first before she jumps into the water. I had a bit of a flash of how I would need a pool lift in the future had I actually broken my back while running to her. Good thing Paulie runs faster than I am (and can actually swim) so he reached Svet in time. She already had her floaters on that time but you never know.

Here she is refusing to go out even when it’s lunch time already. Quite the stubborn one, don’t you think? And yes, she takes after her dad. I’m super angelic as a child, really.

  1. I love the cold weather but summer suits kids well, sakitin pag uber cold ang weather parang ngayon, ang ginaaw! Brrr… 🙂

  2. naku si JJ ko rin, kayang magstay sa pool simula umaga hanggang hapon. Pagnagutom dun mo lang makikita sa table para kumain tapos swimming ulit.
