Me and some members of my family recently embarked on a new offline/online business of selling limited edition T-shirts, the designs of which we made ourselves. My brother-in-law designed the site (he is much better at it than I am, I swear) and I coded it into Headway for almost a month. My sister is our marketing arm, and me and my uncle are the capitalists of the venture.
When we bought our heat press machine(which we will use for transferring our designs from the paper to the shirts), we were afforded a shirt tutorial on how to use it properly. In the process, we learned about the different types of printer inks and where they are used. I never know there were several kinds, my previous knowledge of inks are very limited. In fact, I thought there was only one type of ink. Hee hee.
It’s an essential part of our business, the dye ink we use for printing on the transfer papers, and right now we’re still in the process of looking for the cheapest but high quality ink refill suppliers that we can find. We already spotted some shops in our area, but we’re still searching in case a more cost-efficient option shows up.
Although I am not as hands-on in this business as I would like to be, I still am glad that we are finally trying out new things to get some of our income from. We can’t really rely on doing our Internet thing forever, I know that for a fact, so it’s good that we are branching out. I don’t know if this will even be a lucrative venture for us, but whatever comes out of this, I’m still glad we decided to do it.
