Before I leave for Manila, I decided to upgrade my Photobucket account to Pro for fear of it reaching its bandwidth while I’m not looking. LOL. I cannot afford to have it exceed the 10GB bandwidth set for free users, because I have a lot of images hosted in my account which are used by my Blogger clients, and they would all revert to the hideous Photobucket Bandwidth Exceeded image. If you haven’t seen it yet, it looks like this:
I wouldn’t want that to appear on all the sites of people who have come to me for template design, thus the upgrade. Now what are the benefits of a Pro account aside from unlimited bandwidth?
- Photobucket Unlimited storage for images and videos
- High Resolution image uploads
- SWF file uploads
- FTP access to your account
- More Stats
- Premium Customer Support
- No more ads on your account.
What I like best from the benefits are the lack of the annoying ads and the ability to upload .swf files. SWF files are used for the fancy post/sidebar titles you see in Blogger blogs, which I normally host with a free webs.com account if the client has no hosting account of his/her own.
Now I can have peace of mind for a year, albeit $24.95 poorer. But hey, I really think the payment is all worth it.
