I know she’s already contemplating on retirement, but not as soon as we want her to. She still insists on working at the office until she reaches her retirement age. I have tried to tell her many times already that she would make more money and work less time with oDesk, but she doesn’t seem interested for now. Why, she can’t even seem to remember what a virtual assistant is, no matter how many times I explain to her what responsibilities that job entails. Hee hee.
She has good reasons, I guess. She’s been working for a local government unit for fifteen or so years now, and working full time from home might be a hard transition for her. But I trust her completely to do a great job on whatever she decides to do for now and for the years to come. Heck she can excel at joining a weight-loss affiliate program if she puts her mind to it. That’s why I’m proud to have a mom like here. She’s my super mom!

Hi Mommy Kaye! Long time no visit. I can relate to this. My mom recently retired last July eh dapat nung January pa when she turned 65. Humirit pa ng 6 months. And thats 42 years of service. Iba ata generation nila sa atin. Sila talagang they love what they do and very dedicated sa work. Ako, 17 years palang work gusto ko na ding mag retire hehe
oo nga mommy judy. bisi ka no? 🙂
honga, mas masipag ang generation nila. wow 17 years? grabe tagal na rin!
oh not really.. i just can’t imagine living without my officemates’ “grand attitude” i’ll surely miss them. ala nun sa bahay e..and no. i’m not that dedicated to my work nu..it’s just that i will miss all the loans govt employees are enjoying.. lam mo un..nakakaadik kahit hindi mo kelangan basta wede na sunggab. ganun.. di ba it’s what life meant? mangutang habang me nagpapautang? reak ka kaye..
gugok naman ung mga officemate mo e. wahaha! sabagay ung loans naaavail mo pala un. saka christmas bonus. saka productivity. ehehehe.
paano ko i-coconvince nanay ko eh wala namn sya work LOL
ipapagwork ko muna sya tapos convince ko to retire
maybe when my mom’s health is bad and she’s old, I will ask her to retire din.
