Who says common sense is the only thing that’s not common? Well, today I found out common courtesy is not, as well. *deep breathing* Okay so I’m not really someone who makes a lot of fuss over little things, but what I just found out was unacceptable for me. I know some of you use my TOP COMMENTATOR WIDGET FOR BLOGGER and do leave the link back at the bottom intact, and I thank you from the bottom of my heart for that. What pains me is to find out several people using the widget without my link, and even one blogger tutorial blog who ripped off my codes and claimed them as his/her own!
COME. ON. *bangs forehead on table*
How do I know? I know because my Yahoo Pipe has a unique ID, and it’s included in the code. There is no workaround to that. If you removed the ID as well you would be left with a blank widget. So I can easily track those who use my widget.
Here’s the deal people. Base Yahoo Pipe is not my own, even the date feature wasn’t my code, but I did mention that on this page, and not just on the footnote. HOWEVER. I still spent a lot of frustrating hours learning how to edit that original Yahoo Pipe, and have, in the end, created a most accurate top commentators widget for Bloggers, something that you cannot say for most other existing widgets out there made for the same purpose. I allowed everyone access to it, I even made a freakin’ tutorial to teach people how to install it.
And I can’t even be credited with one. single. freaking. line.
Deleting my link back at the bottom is one extra step. Some people go through that one extra step just to not give credit where it is due.
One, in particular, even had the gall to edit the link to point to his/her blog instead of mine, and called it “my widget”. To think that the blog is a tutorial site. Un. Believable. What else does the author teach there? How not to give credit to others?
This is mainly why I don’t give away free templates for everyone to use. If I were to steal your content (something that you worked hard at creating) and claim it as my own, would you not be infuriated as well? It’s simply a matter of practicing common courtesy, people. I shouldn’t even be telling you that. Jeez.
Whew. This is quite long for a filler. Quite exhausting, too, when I’m steamed up all throughout.

weh, ang bad nila. ang ba-bad nila. i mean it’s like stealing your articles, your works, hahay. bakit may mga ganyang tao? kapal nila
ganun talaga. ehe.
It is not really easy to edit those Yahoo Pipe, I’ve tried it myself when I was trying to made one for my site. Pero iniwan ko na, natatagalan na akong aralin ung code. Kaya ung gagamit ng widget mo should retain ung link for the your effort.
unfortunately some don’t. but i’ve already found a remedy, so no more sakit ng ulo. hihihi
isa lang masasabi ko sa mga taong ganun, kafal ng face
