Drink Up

Ever since I became a mom, I’ve stopped drinking beer (or any kind of liquor, for that matter). But that doesn’t mean my fascination for beer steins mugs ended, and have in fact agreed with Paulie that we will fill the mini-bar in the new house with these collectibles, especially those with lids, as I don’t come across them very often anymore. It would make for very good house decoration, don’t you think? My mom actually collects shot glasses, and it is where our idea of collecting steins came from. I don’t personally know anyone who collects them, but I’ve researched people with similar interests and their collections are truly enviable.

We would perhaps start looking for beer mugs in the cheaper range, and move on to the more expensive ones when we get our fill of the latter. I saw mugs of the Three Stooges in a set of six, and we would really like to get our hands on those, as well as the four feet high stein made of stone! Although that large stein which weighs thirty five pounds empty would have to wait until Svet grows a little older and isn’t prone to breaking things. Besides, that collectible costs a whopping $6,027.99, a price not within our immediate budget. But it would be so worth getting it when we finally do.
