IE Blows

It’s just really depressing, Microsoft’s refusal to comply with web standards, which makes the web designer’s job much harder. It is a real pain to make sites be cross-browser compatible, when one browser (namely IE) messes your codes for you. Its poor CSS compliance is what gets to me every time, not to mention the fact that it loads slower than my grandma crossing the road. And it doesn’t even have add-ons! I just spent an hour debugging and trying to hack my way to making a blog work properly on IE, and frankly, I don’t even know why I wasted my time.

Time that I could have used instead on making content for my own blogs, or for playing with my daughter, or checking out where that Fujifilm camera that me and Sam are eyeing sells for less. Of course, I do realize that even though I whine about it, I still have no choice but to paste codes here and there from time to time in order for a site to at least look presentable in IE. I’m just thankful that less and less people are using the outdated browser. Will I live to see the day when IE is no more? I wish.

  1. Talagang nakakainis ang IE 🙁 may standard naman kasi pero hindi sinusunod. Problema din namin ito sa mga UI ng mga web apps na ginagawa namin.
