When you are a work at home mom, there are many things that are different than when you go into an office. Some of this is obvious: you don’t have to dress up in business casual, you don’t have to make sure your shoes match your dress, and you don’t have to deal with the daily commute. But there are other things that change that are not so obvious at first.
When working at home, you are able to spend more time with your family. The downside to this is that more may be expected of you. What many people don’t understand is that when you work at home, you don’t spend all day playing. You actually still have work to do. Unless everyone in the house understands this, there can be problems that arise, and extra stress added to your every day.
Little things that you expected when you were working outside the home may not hold up when you’re a work at home mom. For example, you might have figured that since you’ll be home, you will eat better. This is most definitely not always the case. If you have a deadline approaching, or just are overwhelmed with work, you may find that it is actually easier to eat unhealthy food, or even skip a meal here or there. You may have also assumed that you would get to spend a large portion of your day running errands or playing with the kids. Again, though this is possible, it does not always work out the way you think it should.
Being a work at home mom is a great opportunity; it is also a big responsibility. Working at home while taking care of the kids and the housework can get exhausting. Make sure that you also take some time for yourself.

We have the same sentiments 🙂 It is really a great opportunity to work from home but exhausting at times.
you are very correct about this thing MOmmy JADE!! its harder nga! and the expectations are trulily na naman!..esp when youre baby finally arrived….naku…it’s harder. Kids are seeing you so kids tend to call you once in a while….minsan nasa kalungan ko sila while me chatting with the clients :)) ay yay yay pero eventually nasanay n sila….when I said cge po sunod ako…pag niyaya nila ko sa terrace…alam n nila they have to wait 😀 and sometimes nakakaguilty even pa youre working.
oops sori may babyu k n pla…i was thinking of JADE kasi when I saw the blog make over LOL ;))
i also tried being a wahm but it didn’t work out well. I worked as a homebased Online tutor and having a kid running around the place is not a conducive learning environment for my students.
