A Lot Of TV

Svet watches a lot of TV, definitely more than the average child’s TV time. Of course we see to it that she only watches educational shows because at this point in time she is very very impressionable. I admit that I would be happier if she spent more time on drawing or playing with her toys, but watching TV seems to be her thing nowadays. I hope it will come to pass, like all her other interests before. Although come to think of it, she’s learning a lot of English words (and some Spanish) from her cartoons (you now know that it’s Dora The Explorer that she’s crazy about, right? Hee hee), as well as counting to fifteen and singing the ABCs.

Needless to say, our TV is the most used appliance in our house (aside from my desktop, of course), and while I could wish for a better model (like that gorgeous Mitsubishi TV perhaps), our current one will do for Svet. We might still be needing a lot of HDMI cables in the future, though, as Svet and my nephew El’s favorite thing to do is to yank the cable when they get the chance. I know the cheap ones are kind of sensitive to pressure, as the sales person on CDR-King told me, and advised me to place it on a steady place. But what can I do? When you have kids in the house that can climb anything like monkeys, no HDMI adapter or any TV accessories are safe.
