Quiet Neighborhood

The twenty-year old subdivision that we’re living in right now is pretty peaceful. People sleep and wake up early, and small convenience stores here close at 9 pm. There’s a twenty four hour security and they patrol the subdivision during the night, and there isn’t anything to fear while we sleep as far as this neighborhood is concerned. If there’s outdoor lighting in any of the homes, it stays lit for only until the occupants of the house are awake, because the street lighting is bright enough to discourage any lurkers in the dark.

The neighbors are.. Well, we hardly get to see any neighbors outside so I don’t really know much about them. I know that this is a good place to bring up a child though, and since that is the case, it’s hard to find a vacant house here to rent. Although There are a lot of houses for sale (I think one-about fourth of the total number of houses here). Unfortunately, buying one in the immediate future is not possible with my current earnings. I would have to get a housing loan for that purpose, probably by next year. But this would be a great neighborhood to scout a permanent house for. And that’s what I intend to do when the right time comes.
