A Date With Old Friends

It’s been eleven years since I last saw my high school friends. Well, some of them I’ve seen in the recent years, but most of them I only got to see again after so long. The reason why we went here to Bulacan in the first place is so that I can attend my high school reunion. It was only four hours because I had to get home early, but the 15 hours of journey to and from Baguio was worth it.

Here’s some of us girls (Jessica, me, Julie Ann and Ana Marie), all gamely posing for the camera while chewing on our food. Same old fun classmates, especially Ana, who is loud and funny as ever. I wish there were more of us, though. Most of the kids in my section are currently abroad, see, so they weren’t able to attend. I wish next reunion they’ll be here with us.

Our corps commander, Jimmy, went home for a month vacation from London where he works. He is the main reason why this reunion took place, he set things in motion. Ever the leader, huh? Here’s me and him minutes before I left for home. I hate him, though. He failed to bring me chocolates. Hee hee. He said he hasn’t been feeling good since he came to the Philippines, so I admire that he still was able to go to the reunion despite that.

There’s talk of another reunion next year, when more of our classmates abroad are vacationing here. I hope it pushes through. I really miss those guys.
