Ya know, the Twitter advertising service. I got an email today with the following reason for my suspension, and I quote:
Our system has flagged your account @wahmaholic as in violation of clause 4 – Misuse and Fraud – the posting of tweets in an automated manner e.g. by aggregating one or more RSS feeds .
My first reaction was, of course, :wtf: . I was asked to reduce the number of automated tweets so that my account would be reinstated, otherwise it “will result in account termination and forfeiting of your earnings“. But then I remembered I have not earned a single cent from the site (contrary to their claims when I signed up), so there’s nothing to forfeit. And besides, I haven’t been on Twitter much these days and I would definitely not be removing my feeds publication because I also get blog traffic from there.
I did, however, deleted my account with RevTwt, another Twitter advertising service. I have long felt it was just filling my own timeline with useless trash, but I didn’t have the motivation to do it until today, when I saw my Facebook wall (where my tweets also gets published) was littered with ads. It looked horrible, so I decided that the few cents I earn from RevTwt is not enough reason for me to continue with it (or with any Twitter advertising service, for that matter). So today I said goodbye to that earning avenue for good.
I hope if you have them services you would remember to be active on Twitter so you wouldn’t get suspended (and eventually banned) from said sites. I also hope that what you’re earning from them is not virtually next-to-nothing like mine. 🙂

I’m sorry about Magpie ate 🙁 Ako pa naman nagsabe sayo about it dati! haha. Actually ako din nagstop na magearn jan, di ko namamalayan may ads nalang ako galing sakanila. Dati everyday ako login sa site nila to check:)) Eh ngayon kakatamad na sila. Nyahahha. And it’s one of the reasons naadik ako sa twitter, dahil sa mga yan, revtwt, magpie. But eventually nagtwitter nalang ako ng nagtwitter at nakalimutan ko na tungkol sa ads nila..
Naku ate don’t mind nalang yan, tama ka cents lang binibigay satin O_O tsktsk. Tapos kung di man cents, payout naman pagkalaki laki, at young FB ko nga din ay parang Classified Ads narin ang dating. Haha.

Magpie’s loss is your gain, to be honest, Kaye! Like you, I didn’t make a red cent in 6 months with them – I’ve suspended my own account now…perhaps *I* should send *them* a warning message, hahaha!
Never used RevtTwt, but I am getting some good results with Sponsored Tweets, so if you fancy giving them a go instead, I’d love to have you join me over there. :biggrin:

i’m already registered on sponsored tweets dearie. i’ve gotten a couple of tweet opportunities from them but nothing ever since. i haven’t terminated my account there since i get to choose what ads to post or not. but thank you for the offer. and the compliment on my blog :biggrin:
