New Twitter Feature

I haven’t been on Twitter (or gone blog hopping, either) lately due to toxic workload, but I do check once in a while if they have already put their Twitter list feature out of beta already. I am not sure if they have, but I was pleased when I logged in yesterday and there’s yet another feature which Twitter is beta testing, and they call the service “Retweet to share tweets”. Twitter users have been retweeting other people’s tweets that they find interesting or useful, and they do it manually by appending RT to the beginning of a retweet.

Basically, this new feature is a better way for users to see who’s retweeting their tweets. In the sidebar below the Favorites link, there is a new Retweets link. And when you go click it, you will be brought to see 3 tabs: Retweets by others, Retweets by you, and Your tweets, retweeted.

I don’t see the retweet icon, though, as the screenshot proves. And in the normal timeline, I still see the old way of retweeting. Oh well. It’s still in beta, so improvements are sure to come. Twitter is slowly making third-party Twitter tools unnecessary, don’t you think? Anyways, I’m just happy to see new features that make our Twitter experience better for everyone involved.
