Earlier this day we did the usual bi-weekly grocery shopping and followed my mom around town to go bargain-hunting and to buy stuff for my youngest sister’s birthday. It was as usual a wearying walkathon (but instead of raising funds, we actually diminished ours by half) that lasted for about four hours. You’d think after all that use of leg power we’d be able to rest, but no. There’s still the part of hunting for an unoccupied taxi so we can haul ourselves home. It’s always the same scenario, what with the lack of our own car.
Don’t get me wrong. We’ve never had a car, so we are already used to it. And I guess it’ll stay that way for, I don’t know, four or five more years until car purchase is already visible in our long list of priorities. I admit it would be bliss to have our own. Not the added expenses part though, the convenience part. But honestly, I don’t know a thing about cars. Whether it be chassis, rear spoiler or head gasket, I don’t understand any of them. I only overhear them from drivers talking shop. The only spoilers I know are those that ruin a movie, a TV show or a book for me, that’s what I hate them. Oh well. There’s still plenty of time to learn the ropes of car parts. For now I’ll just be thankful that we don’t have car bills to deal with.

wahaha! adik to ha. nadala ako mashado. anyway, uu nga eh, hirap talga maghabol ng taxi lalu na dito. buti nga jan bawal mamili. di mo din naman masisi nga taxi dito kase “lugi” daw sila. hay naku. eh ilang ikot ba naman nila kakahanap ng pasahero eh parng di nababawasan gas nila.
ito intay pa din kame benta ni granny ung kotse. hehe. naubos na ung budget ko para sa driver’s lessons. wakokok. mukhang kotse muna bilhin nito bago bahay. wooot!

yan din dream ko marce.. to have a car someday.. pero sa bilis ng pagtaas ng gas naker hanggang dream na lng yan 🙂
