Reading Meg Cabot

I am currently hooked on Meg Cabot’s books, and have in fact, finished reading the first three books of the Princess Diaries series. I have watched the movie several years back and have to say that it follows the book version closely. Although I must point out that the movie version is a very, very brief interpretation of the printed edition since the latter spans seven books.

Next stop after reading the rest of the Princess Diaries? The 1-800-Where-R-You series. I can’t wait to start reading them, and I look forward to more of Cabot’s wit. Like Kinsella, Cabot’s take on things is laugh-out-loud funny, and the fact that I can totally relate to Mia Thermopolis added to my interest in reading the book that started it all. I still like Kinsella better though, but I still have to put my finger on why is that so. Maybe after reading all Cabot’s books I’ll be able to tell why.
