I’ve made business cards for other people for almost four years, yet I’ve never had a business card of my own. Ironic, huh? Most of my clients find me online, so I didn’t really find the urgent need for an actual card. When I do meet someone in person who is interested in my services, I write my details down on any available piece of paper in sight and give it to the interested party.
Up until now.
Aren’t these business cards from Minted.com über adorable? So gorgeous I think I can’t bear to part with them. Which kind of defeats the very nature of these cards, but I guess what I’m trying to say is, I’m in love with these paper creations so, so much.
No, I didn’t design the card myself. I just chose from the delightful ready-made creations of Minted.com designers and changed the colors and the icon to my liking. Idiot-proof process, by the way, their card personalization. Although it took me forever from start to finish because it’s sooo hard to choose from all the wonderful designs on the site! I wanted them all! Of course I finally had to settle down to the one closest to my existing brand.
I received the business cards I ordered from Minted.com last Thursday, just after five days upon informing me that it has already shipped. Very prompt, which is a plus I look out for on all my online orders. It came in a carefully wrapped package (destroyed due to excitement, sorry) which ensured my business cards are in pristine condition when it reached me. It also came with a reusable sliding box which says at the bottom:

Cute. You can never go wrong with a company that not only delivers fast, but also takes extra care to make every part of the product and packaging special. What I love most about Minted is their paper. I’ve never taken much notice about paper before (I, after all, primarily worked with web-based applications), but when I first laid eyes on my business cards, I swooned at how rich-looking their pearlescent paper is. It has a subtle, shimmery finish which is just perfect ? for my brand!
