Fun With Washi Tapes Plus Giveaway!

I have just emerged from one of the most grueling weeks of my entire WAHM career, and I seriously needed a break. We are already scheduled to take a two-week vacation on May, but I can’t wait for that anymore, so what did we do? We had washi tape fun! Wait, washi what?

washi tape goodness

Washi tapes are essentially sticky tapes with a charming twist. These cute paper tape creations are originally from Japan, and last year, they started taking the traditional scrapbooking and stationery world by storm. I’ve been meaning to buy them to make weird projects with my kid (Svet likes any kind of sticky stuff a lot), but I haven’t gotten around to looking for sellers in the Philippines. I didn’t think there were any, until I was contacted by Hey Kessy.

HeyKessy.com is an arts and crafts online store that offers (at  the moment) washi tapes, baker’s twines and pretty stickers. They have the cutest website theme I’ve seen in weeks! And gorgeous, gorgeous product photos to boot.

They accept payments through bank deposit or when you receive your package during meet-ups. On the top of my wishlist for this site would be for them to accept payments through PayPal. That would be awesome because I know a lot of you prefer the no-hassle PayPal payment method. They deliver through Xend and do meet-ups as well. How flexible is that?

So what did we do with them washi tapes? We took my mom’s clock and an old milk can and washi taped them like crazeeee!

I went a little kooky over pixlr.com/o-matic for my pictures, sorry. LOL. You should give it a whirl too. Now that Picnik.com has retired, this is one of the best in its kind that I’ve seen. Pretty interface as well, and also available for iPhones, iPods and iPads as an app.

Mother’s Day is just around the corner, and washi tapes would be a super cool addition to your gifts for mom! Whether incorporated in the actual gift or just part of the packaging, washi tapes will make your Mother’s Day gift even more special for sure!

With that, WAHMaholic and Hey Kessy are giving away one BUNDLE OF TEN to a lucky winner! HeyKessy’s bundle of tens are priced at Php950 per bundle, and come with ONE FREE roll of washi tape! You can choose from:
