Online Shopping As Stress Reliever

I found myself using from Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest less and less in the past few weeks in an effort to give more time to my blog design work. I’ve noticed a considerable increase in my monthly income ever since I’ve decided to wean myself off of my social networking addiction. That should be a good thing, right? However, I’ve also discovered that I get stressed rather easily lately. And since I don’t want to get back to frequenting my social accounts, I decided to turn to online shopping instead.

It’s true that it’s a costly stress-relieving technique to maintain, but it’s the most convenient for me. Besides, I already have a mile-long lineup of things that screams to be crossed off my wishlist. My sites of choice at the moment are Amazon, Totsy, Macy’s, TipidPC and some of the more popular group buying sites in the Philippines. Online shopping can also be addictive, that I am well aware of. There are tons of discounts and promos that a person with very little discipline like me cannot simply pass up.

I have been inundated with offers to apply for credit cards to fuel my online shopping frenzy. While I am quite firm on my stand to not secure one, I find myself wavering sometimes when I see what the CC companies are offering. It definitely pays to know which credit cards offers the best value to the consumer.

Dare I apply for one now after so many years of resistance? Only time will tell. In the meantime I pay for my online purchases using my trusty debit card, and I’m super happy with the stuff I’ve ordered and paid for so far. There’s nothing like the feeling of happiness after I’ve checked out my cart items. LOL.
