A surprisingly cozy garden cafe along Paseo Del Congreso Street just opened its doors to the public last month. Beans and Blossoms Cafe Malolos is the perfect hangout place for people looking for a space to chill with its relaxed and cheery vibe. It also boasts of having a unique array of menu items painstakingly created to please the palate.
Our party of five (plus two lovely kids!) trooped in late into the day. Groups of friends, families and coworkers came in and out all the time we were there, most staying well after they ate, just enjoying the ambiance of the cafe. Head chef and part owner Ralph Well graced us with his presence most of the time, giving us a background of the cafe and a bit of history behind some of their special dishes.
We were served with their crowd pleasers (and some still off-the-menu items, what a treat!). Here are some food shots:
The cheesecake is not on the menu yet, but Chef Ralph gave us a slice to taste. Can you see how gorgeous that piece is? I thought it’d be a sin not to put it on here. He says he’s still working on it as he feels there’s something missing. IMO, it’s the most irresistibly decadent cheesecake I’ve tried so far. But I’m not a chef, just a cheesecake lover, so I trust chef Ralph’s judgement 😉
Here are some of their drink offerings:
Here’s a picture of their full menu, to give you an idea how much their food and drinks go for:
If I had to pick a favorite, it would be the Mac-Queso and the Mac & Cheese Pizza, plus the cheesecake frappe for the drink. Of course, the cheesecake wins best dessert for me. My mouth is watering just thinking about them now, which is why I’m going back there ASAP with Paulie and Svet.
I want to thank Sir Ralph for his gracious treatment, and the Beans and Blossom staff for their hard work served with a smile. The entire experience was not only a treat to our happy, satisfied tummies, but also to our eyes and ears. Beans and Blossoms Cafe Malolos has the decor and the ambiance to beat out its more trendy and longer-operating competitors. The soft music playing in the background adds to the laid-back atmosphere, and the cafe is just the right size so it does not feel crowded and you won’t hear the conversations of the table next to you. The service of the staff is outstanding, too. Beans and Blossoms Cafe is what coffee lovers’ dreams are made of.
