Relax and Revitalize
P and I wanted to have another afternoon to ourselves just to relax from all the stress of work and home construction, so we went to Denizen on the second week of September to do just that. We were the only people when we arrived, so we took the opportunity to take lots of photos and talk to the owner Ms. Jeanette, about her business.
Denizen, it turns out, has been operating for more than ten years. It has changed names and owners over the years, but one of their massage therapists (Ms. Dolly) has been with the business since the start so that’s more than a decade of hands-on experience (no pun intended). P was pleased to learn of that, so he had high expectations going in.
The Place
This is one of the more spacious spa places we’ve been to. The first floor is reserved for the reception area and foot spa, foot massage and mani-pedi services, while the second floor is where the rest of their various services are rendered. They have wellness products on display on the first floor too.
On the second floor they have two massage rooms, a facial room, a small sauna, and a shower plus comfort room. As with most massage places, the lighting is subdued here on the second floor to deliver maximum relaxation to clients.
Services We Tried
First up is P, who tried their whole body coffee scrub plus one hour massage (Php899) plus a ventosa therapy (Php199) in between. I was taking pictures and videos during the first half of the session, so I was in the room taking in the lovely coffee smell from the scrub that Ms. Dolly used.
I think P was in 7th heaven during the massage because I wasn’t able to get feedback from him properly during the time 
He confirmed after that he just had the most relaxing massage and would definitely want to go back soon.
I was in awe of the amount of cups that Ms. Dolly whipped out during the session. Much more amazed when she started skillfully applying it on P’s back. Such dexterity can only come from years and years of practice.
I left them halfway through their session, so that I can start on mine: foot spa + mani + pedi (Php369).
Not my usual choice of color, but I liked it. Made my hands look cleaner somehow 
I actually went back to try their gel polish, which is a new service they’re introducing this month. I didn’t know there was such a thing as magnetic gel polish or color-changing gel polish, so I was very excited to try it for myself.
It’s magenta normally, but will change to a violet shade when the temperature changes! To sample, we dipped my fingers in cold water to turn it into violet and then into hot water to see the colors change back. I will try their magnetic gel polish next visit, as we were out of time and had to go pick up the bagets from school already. But here are their available templates at the moment, plus one freestyle magnet that lets you design whatever you like.
Lastly, I also tried their waxing services. Ms. Dhey was the one who took point and I was very pleased with how clean my legs felt after the session. I usually have some ingrown leg hair when I use my epilator but with waxing it feels smoother. She has a lot of experience doing this based on our kwentuhan while she’s waxing my legs and it shows with how efficiently she went through the whole process.

VERDICT
We loved our experience with Denizen and would love it if you try their services as well. The staff were super friendly and fun, you won’t feel uncomfortable during your stay there. Everyone’s been trained well to deliver the best spa experience they can on this side of town.
