On Expensive Weddings

Not all couples can afford to have gold engagement rings or diamond wedding bands during the most awaited day of their life but still they are happy for what they have.

I think wedding isn’t about spending too much on a wedding dress and the food. Nor is it about the large number of people you are expecting to attend the event. It’s a ceremony where two people promises to look after each other through thick and thin. A luxurious is church wedding is just the same with a simple civil wedding. Both parties will have their blessings from God.

Of course, that doesn’t stop celebrities and socialites to buy super expensive wedding bands and whatnot for the ceremony. Paris Hilton, for instance, has the most expensive celebrity diamond engagement ring ever. She auctioned it for $4.7 million to help the victims of Hurricane Katrina. Next most expensive is the wedding ring of Melania Knauss worth over $3 million dollars. The most expensive wedding ring cost $16.26 million. Imagine how many mouths that amount can feed in a day.

Having said that, even if you didn’t receive a yellow diamond engagement ring that costs $400,000, it doesn’t mean your partner doesn’t love you. It’s better to be practical at times. Save your money for the future use of your family instead, is my say on the subject.
