It’s that time of the year again! This is the third time that we will be celebrating Baguio’s Panagbenga Festival (Flower Festival) while living here although it was only last year when we actually went out to watch the Grand Float Parade. There is also a float parade this year, but I am sure we will not be attending because of what we experienced last year with the crowd. Not really very pleasant, as you can imagine, albeit still relatively enjoyable. But with the kids in tow, I wouldn’t dream of watching it live again. We’ll just be content with watching it on TV and just go to town for the Market Encounter and the Session Road in Bloom. Curious about the schedule of activities this year? Read on, especially those who are planning to go here this month:
February 1 – Grand Opening Parade
February 1 – Mar 6 – Market Encounter
February 12– Let A Thousand Flowers Bloom
February 13 – Pre-Valentine Event & Fluvial Float Parade
February 26 – Grand Panagbenga Street Parade
February 27 – Grand Float Parade
February 28 – March 6 – Session Road in Bloom
March 2 – Pony Boys Day
March 3 – Central North Luzon Tourism Fair
March 6 – Grand Closing Ceremony & Grand Fireworks Display (Flowers in the Sky)
I hope I will remember to bring my camera when we go out, so I can share with you how chaotic and fun life is in town during February. See you when I see you!
