Quiada’s Antique Diner Malolos

Step back in time as you enter Quiada’s Antique Diner located at Bulihan, Malolos City Bulacan. We took a pleasant trip down memory lane last December 15, 2017 when the owner (Bada Urbano) invited a few Bulacan Bloggers over for dinner at her quaint restaurant. Quiada’s Antique Diner (named after Bada’s mother) opened its doors to the public last November.

The place is an ideal eat-out place for those wanting to have a more intimate lunch or dinner, as the quiet ambiance sets the tone for the whole diner. Antique collectors will have a blast looking at the collection of vintage stuff that the owner has managed to collect over the course of three years. However, it’s not exclusively to be enjoyed by the older generation, as we have a couple of kids in tow and they had a great time tinkering with the displays (who knew the mini-claw machine would keep them occupied for so long!)

It’s a great place to hang out and have a nice conversation and enjoy present company while waiting for your food to be served. Or you can look around as the collection is spread over two floors to inspect the bits and pieces of memorabilia from days past. Some shots of the interior:

Some pictures of their menu items and prices:

We were served the following items in the menu:

If I have to choose favorites (which is hard because I liked everything), I would go for the T-Bone Steak, the Spanish Sardine Pasta and the Buffalo Wings. We had a chat with the owner while polishing off our dinner, it’s when we learned how young the owner is (I will not disclose it here but suffice it to say it made us feel really old 😆 ) We also learned that she initially thought to display her antique collection in a museum, but went with the diner instead so people can stay longer to appreciate the retro ambiance.

While still finding its feet, I can say Quiada’s Antique Diner is already at par with some of the longer-running restaurants in the area when it comes to food quality, staff service and warm atmosphere. We really wished they had a jukebox though, to complete the feel. But the place is still new, so we’re excited to see new additions to Bada’s collection when we come back.

And finally a group photo with my fellow Bulacan Bloggers. From L-R: (me with my sister’s son Elijah, Vix of Mum-Writes.com, my sister Phoebe of PinayMama.com and Jennie of RaisingHunter.com.
