Unlimited Samgyeopsal and Chicken Wings in Bulacan
It’s holiday season again, which means more invitations to eat out than normal. When the pandemic started, I have avoided going out as much as I can. However, I cannot resist an invite from SamG, one of my favorite samgyeopsal joints in Bulacan. So a couple of months back, Paulie and I went to their SamG Lite Bocaue branch, to try both their UnliMEATed Samgyeopsal and unlimited fried chicken options.
SamG was at the forefront when the samgyeopsal craze first hit the Philippines, and has been a consistent crowd favorite here in Bulacan ever since. To date, SamG has six branches: Meycauayan, Paombong, Guiguinto, Malolos, Pandi and SamG Lite Bocaue). When the health crisis happened, they evolved to include al fresco dining options for their customers. During mid-2020 they have also expanded to include unlimited wings on their menu through Fryers. Keeping up with the times has certainly been the key to SamG’s continued success over the years.
I have eaten several times at SamG and have ordered their to-go sets for takeout since I discovered my love for samgyeopsal, but my last time eating at SamG was with my fellow Bulacan bloggers at their now-closed Baliuag branch nung November 2019 pa. So I was definitely missing a lot of new items on their menu. It was great meeting other bloggers and sharing good food over a lot of kwentuhan. Haaay, I miss get togethers like these. Hopefully tuloy-tuloy na ang loosening ng restrictions so we can do this again
Anyway, I’m happy to report that my old favorites are still there, namely their beef bulgogi, creamy cheese, steamed egg soup and lettuce salad. They don’t have shrimp on the menu anymore but they have more marinated meats, beef enoki wraps and jap chae na, plus the wings pa so still yay More on that below.
SamG now offers three samgyeopsal options: the SamG Daily Set at Php249 (sometimes Php199 only when it’s on promo on some branches), the Emperor Pork Set at Php349 and the Emperor Beef Set at Php399. All sets include all-you-cat-eat six side dishes, rice, and lettuce. A single serving of iced tea is available for the daily set, but it’s unlimited for the pork and beef set. Unlimited steamed egg soup is included in the pork and beef set, and the beef enoki wraps are included with the beef set.
Here are some of the meats included in the unliMEATed sets, as well as their six side dishes:
A SamG meal would not be complete without their famous steamed egg soup, which I hear has a lot of fans like me. I always look forward to receiving that piping hot and fluffy soup during my visits
Of course, you can’t forget to order their creamy cheese add-on at Php50 per head. This is the item that gets asked to be refilled the most every time we go to SamG with no fail. It is, in fact, one of my top three samgyeopsal cheeses in all of Bulacan.
Lastly, SamG’s meaty jap chae. This is not part of the unlimited offerings, but you can order it for dine in or take out with the following prices:
- Duo Party Pack (good for 2 pax) – Php149
- Barkada Party Pack (good for 4 to 5 pax) – Php299
- Family Party Pack (good for 9 to 10 pax) – Php499
Unlimited Chicken Wings (Fryers)
Recognizing the solid base for chicken wings fans, SamG included these on their unliMEATed menu sometime last year. If you’re not a huge samgyeopsal fan, you can just east unliMEATed ching wings at Php229 per head. With seven flavors, unlimited rice and iced tea, it’s already a steal!
- Salted Egg
- Spicy Cheese
- Americano Dry Rub
- Garlic Parmesan
- Buffalo Wings
There are two extra flavors in the picture, which are the Fryers UnliMEATed Wingers Flavors of the Month: Jack Daniel’s and Sriracha. My favorite flavors out of the nine would have to be Garlic Parmesan, K-BBQ, Jack Daniel’s and Spicy Cheese.
To Go Sets
If you’re still apprehensive about dining out, they have to-go samgyeopsal sets so you can enjoy your SamG favorites in the comforts of your own home! You can order these from their website at https://samg.ph.
As one of the few samgyeopsal joints I have gone back to over and over again, I don’t think I’ll be tired of SamG anytime soon. I look forward to more of their menu additions and innovations in the food industry. Happy to see they are thriving in the face of COVID-19, and are continually providing jobs to our fellow Bulakenyos.
I also had my picture taken with the crew during a couple of my visits, as they were super friendly and very accommodating when we were there. My special thank also goes to sir Paulo, one of the SamG owners, for always being so friendly every time we meet.
